Unknown Eyewear Retail Fit-Out

A complete interior fit-out for Unknown Eyewear's retail space, built around a bold sculptural design language. The project's standout features were a custom-built brick and concrete centrepiece display table, precision-crafted drywall shelving walls with recessed horizontal niches, and sweeping drywall feature walls above the shelving. Every element was conceived and executed by our team, showcasing the full capability of high-end drywall craftsmanship within a commercial retail environment.

The centrepiece display table was built up into its distinctive organic form before being finished with a smooth skim coat. The shelving walls were framed and boarded in drywall with exacting precision, creating evenly spaced horizontal recesses across the full length of the store, with LED strip lighting integrated into each niche to illuminate the eyewear displays. Above the shelving, the drywall feature walls were sculpted and skimmed to carry the flowing organic aesthetic upward, with cutouts incorporated as design details.

The finished space is a testament to what skilled drywall artisans can achieve in a retail environment. The seamless white skim finish across the feature walls, shelving niches, and feature walls created a gallery-quality interior that elevates the Unknown Eyewear brand. The client received a fully completed, trade-ready store that continues to draw attention for its architectural finish and design originality.
